Term time only 32.5 hrs a week
Grade 5 – £14,771 to £15,589 p.a. actual salary (£19,875 – £20,975 full time equivalent salary)
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated individual with an interest in working directly with students in a secondary school setting.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will work with students across the age range, covering lessons for absent colleagues. This role can provide excellent experience for anyone wanting to embark upon a career in teaching or education.
The main elements of the role are:
- Supervising students in lessons where work has been set.
- Working alongside teachers in a supporting Teaching Assistant role, when not used for cover.
- Supervising students and buildings beyond lesson-time.
- Invigilating public examinations, internal examinations, tests, timed assignments.
You should have 5 GCSEs (including Maths and English) or equivalent and be keen to undergo further training as well becoming involved in the full life of the school. Full training and support will be given for the successful candidate. Start date would be July / Sept 2019.
