The Pavers Foundation £20,000 donation to Fulford School

Jason Paver and Russell Paver came back to Fulford last week to present a £20,000 donation to the school on behalf of the Pavers Foundation.

As ex-students of the school, Jason, Russell and Vanessa (not pictured) wanted to make a donation to students in the Fulford community and to mark Mrs Savage’s retirement from the school.
As part of their visit, Jason and Russell were able to meet up with staff who had taught them and to update them on their career successes since leaving Fulford.
Jason and Russell also met Science staff who will directly benefit from their donation as this will be used to aid the refurbishment of some of the oldest Science Labs to cater for the ever growing numbers seeking to attend Fulford School. They also met Mr Bodey, Deputy Head (pictured) to hear about work in the school to promote mental health and well-being.
Mrs Savage was delighted to welcome Jason and Russell back to the school and would like to thank all those involved with the Pavers Foundation for their generous support.

In 2018 Pavers Shoes established The Pavers Foundation, an employee-led charity initiative dedicated to making a meaningful impact to communities.

Through the Foundation, Pavers has pledged £2.3m to good causes, which includes employee grant applications, Charities of the Year and donations on behalf of the family. The business gives 2% of net profit each year, to ensure the Pavers Foundation continues to make effective and positive changes in local communities throughout the UK.

The Foundation has already helped a range of charities and causes large and small throughout the UK. Starting from a donation of £500 for a community project in Shrewsbury, that creates and delivers Christmas gift boxes for the elderly community, to donating £62,500 to Macmillan Cancer Support, which will help to fund a Macmillan Nurse for one year or the equivalent of 2,232 nursing hours.
