Based on full time equivalent salary range of £35,500 – £40,710 p.a.
This important role will give the successful person the chance to lead and develop student safeguarding and well-being activities with Fulford School and be the lead adviser on safeguarding throughout all 4 schools of the South York Multi-Academy Trust (Fulford Secondary School and currently 2 Primary Schools – Wheldrake & Dunnington and a Junior School – Archbishop of York in Bishopthorpe).
The wider context of the role is to be lead point of referral and source of support for all SYMAT schools in relation to safeguarding, attendance and support for children who are looked after, who are designated Child In Need (CIN) and who are on Child Protection (CP) Plans.
You will have previous experience of working with children and/or adolescents with social, emotional and mental health needs in an education, healthcare or community setting and a Social Work qualification and registration with the Health and Care Professional Council.
Your detailed knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding policy & practice at a national level coupled with a proven ability to engage and work collaboratively with children, young people and their families will be central to being successful in the role.
