What country Friend, is this?

Year 9 GCSE Drama students recently took to the stage at York Theatre Royal to perform a scene from ‘Twelfth Night’, as part of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s associate schools’ project. This year the project included three Shakespeare plays, which are informally referred to as the shipwreck trilogy, and focused on issues of displacement and belonging associated with the global refugee crisis.

Recent year 13 student Matthew Dangerfield, Romeo in last year’s whole-school production, was one of the narrators who introduced each scene and is to be congratulated on securing a place to study acting at East 15 in the Autumn. All of the students performed brilliantly and worked so hard and we are very proud of them.
