On the 10th of July, Fulford School produced yet another fantastic show, ‘The Jazz Age’. It was a wonderful evening full of musical, dance and drama performances which drew from the wealth of talent at Fulford School. Nearly all years participated, including our Sixth form drama students, and also the school’s stage orchestra, who played a number of Jazz inspired pieces.
The teachers involved, Miss Greene (Head of Drama), Mrs Smeils and Dr. Griffiths, deserve a lot of praise as they consistently manage to organise and interest students in many of Fulford School’s productions. However the students should also be very proud of themselves for all of their hard work and dedication over the past few weeks, as they have been busy preparing and rehearsing to make sure that their performances were fantastic, which they were.
There were many talents that graced Fulford’s stage such as the talented year 9 students who performed a short drama piece, ‘The Boyfriend’, there were also a handful of jazz songs and there was even a ballroom dance! All of the music, dance and drama pieces were superb and I’m sure everyone is looking forward to Fulford School’s next event!
