Our Assembly Hall is not large enough to accommodate more than 500 people in comfort and safety. Therefore we would be grateful if you could restrict your party to no more than 3 people, including your child, for the above events. We understand that many of you will have younger children but hope that having advance notice will enable you to make alternative child-care arrangements. We thank you for your understanding and co-operation.

During early June all primary schools will be visited by Mrs Siân Rees, Deputy Head, when pupils will have the opportunity to ask questions about the change of schools.

Your son/daughter will have an opportunity to visit the school in the week commencing Monday 24 June – Monday 8 July 2013 and Mr Bodey shall be contacting the Primary Schools to arrange this visit through them.

The minibuses owned by the school play a crucial role in providing a rounded educational experience being used for school visits and excursions, and being used by sports teams to attend fixtures. One of these buses now needs to be replaced and it is our aim to do that as quickly as possible.

A new minibus will cost just over £20,000. £7,000 has already been put towards this by the PTA from previously raised funds, so we need £13,000 more and that is where we need your help and support. We are holding a range of fundraising activities in school in the week commencing 8th July. These will include cake stalls, a direct fundraising appeal and a whole school sponsored walk. We aim to raise at least the £13,000 required for this vehicle and to use any additional money raised to buy additional equipment for the school.

You can contribute in a variety of ways during that week:

• Send in cash or a cheque for £10 payable to Fulford School PTA to the school office in an envelope marked “minibus fund”
• Take part in your own individual or family fundraiser and donate the proceeds to the fund
• Come and join us on our sponsored walk

We will be very grateful for all help and donations received.
There will be posters and adverts up in school about this nearer the time and a letter will be sent out to all parents/carers.

They will be available for collection in the last week of this half term.
